A Must-See Experience for Business Travelers and Event Planners

I caught KÀ by Cirque du Soleil during IMEX America 2025 in Las Vegas this October, and it was an impressive show. If you’re in town for business — whether you’re attending a conference, hosting clients or planning an incentive event — this Las Vegas experience delivers entertainment and artistry.

A Cinematic Story Told Through Acrobatics and Dance

is a heroic journey of love, conflict and destiny — a story about imperial twins separated by war and the forces trying to reunite them. The name “KÀ” itself comes from the ancient Egyptian belief in the ka, the spiritual life force that follows every person. It’s a fitting metaphor for a show that explores the bonds that connect us, even across impossible odds.

Directed by acclaimed theater and film visionary Robert Lepage, KÀ unfolds like a live-action movie. It’s a coming-of-age adventure told through movement, sound and visual storytelling rather than dialogue. It’s the kind of production that holds your attention from the first drumbeat to the last acrobatic drop.

Some online reviews of KÀ indicate this is a tough performance to follow. I went in relatively cold and was able to make sense of the performance. But it also helped me to research more details after the show.

A Range of Performance Styles — Acrobatics, Dance and Theater Combined

A friend (also attending IMEX) and I were both struck by how many different art forms appear in KÀ. You’ll see modern dance, martial arts, Capoeira and aerial choreography. This  is all fused with Cirque du Soleil’s signature acrobatics. There’s even puppetry and large-scale stage effects that transform the space scene by scene.

The show’s famous Wheel of Death sequence had us on the edge of our seats. It’s a thrilling display of human balance and courage. And it perfectly represents what KÀ does best: blend athleticism, artistry and pure theatrical tension.

Each transition feels cinematic, thanks to projections and set pieces that appear to materialize mid-air. The result is a constant rhythm between motion and stillness, light and shadow — a production that feels alive in every direction.

A Stage That Moves — Literally

Unlike any other Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas, takes place on a colossal, 360-degree rotating stage that tilts, lifts, and even becomes vertical. It’s a technical masterpiece. The shifting platform transforms into battlefields, cliffs, ships and forests — every surface is a new scene.

The visuals are stunning, with lighting design by Luc Lafortune and interactive projections by Holger Förterer, two of Cirque’s longtime creative innovators. Together, they create the illusion of entire worlds appearing and disappearing before your eyes.

At moments, performers emerge from the aisles or soar above the audience, blurring the line between stage and theater. The sound moves with them, making it easy to forget where the music ends and the storytelling begins.

The Seating Experience — Immersive and Accessible

We sat in the accessible seating section, and it was genuinely one of the best-designed accessible setups I’ve experienced. Located as the back row of center orchestra, the seats were freestanding and flexible. They offered more space than standard fixed rows and an unobstructed view of the performance. For anyone booking group tickets with mixed accessibility needs, KÀ’s theater design stands out as a model for inclusivity.

Every seat also features built-in headrest speakers, and they’re not just for show. Throughout the performance, they create subtle, 3D-like sound cues — whispers, wind, echoes or rhythmic beats that make you feel as if you’re inside the story itself. When a battle erupts or the music swells, that personalized sound effect adds another layer of immersion.

For the best view overall, the center orchestra and center mezzanine sections offer a great balance between close-up detail and a full view of the vertical stage scenes.

Ticket Prices and Group Options

KÀ performs Saturday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. It is dark on Thursdays and Fridays. Tickets start at $69 and typically range up to about $150 for premium seating, depending on date and demand.

For business groups and event planners, Cirque du Soleil offers group packages for 12 or more guests. These can include up to 25% savings, priority seating blocks, and access to VIP experiences. For larger conference groups — such as IMEX attendees or corporate incentive programs — these packages make it simple to coordinate a memorable night out without logistical headaches.

Why It Works for Business Travelers and Meeting Planners

The MGM Grand location makes KÀ ideal for anyone attending meetings or conventions along the Las Vegas Strip. The 90-minute runtime fits neatly after an evening dinner or client event, and the experience is impressive without being overly formal. We grabbed dinner at Luchini Italian Restaurant, which is steps away from the theater entrance (I highly recommend making reservations).

For meeting planners, Cirque’s group sales team is accustomed to working with corporate and incentive groups — making it easy to integrate KÀ into a larger event itinerary. The production quality also makes it a standout choice for client entertainment or team bonding.

Final Take

KÀ is one of those rare shows in Las Vegas that combines storytelling, engineering and artistry in a way that feels fresh every time. Whether you’re in town for a conference or something more personal, KÀ is a stunning way connect with colleagues or clients outside the conference room or simply unwind after dinner.

Bottom line: If you have a free evening to make plans in Las Vegas, consider KÀ.
