Will Uber Raise Rideshare Rates?

Uber became a publicly traded company on Friday, May 11, 2019. While many of those in the investor world criticized it, Uber’s first day of trading generated nearly $70 billion in market cap on its first day – I’m certain most public companies are envious of that valuation. However, the headlines reported disappointment that it wasn’t higher.

While that was going on, it seems that most missed that Uber’s customer pricing fluctuated. Read how my Uber ride nearly doubled in price on the first day of trading without justification. Did Uber raise ridshare rates on the day it went public?

Welcome Baby Archie

The royal baby was born May 6, 2019. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, are the proud parents of the 7 pound 3 ounce boy who is now seventh in line for the British throne. That’s something that will catch the attention of those who are interested in the House of Windsor.

But the new baby will also have a hugely positive affect on tourism to London that we cannot even begin to quantify today.  And for those who are interested, London offers many royal activities for visitors. A few top suggestions include:

  • Tour Buckingham Palace
  • Watch the Changing of the Guard
  • View the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London

Of course, we have a few more ideas as to what you can do and where to stay. Check review for more ideas about what to do and where to stay in London.
