Business travelers and meeting professionals considering Las Vegas may now check out CityCenter, three new hotels that officially open in December 2009 on the strip: Aria Resort & Casino, Mandarian Oriental Las Vegas, and Vdara Hotel & Spa.
The US$8.5 billion, 67-acre complex of casinos, hotels, condominiums and shops brings a new, distinctive and contemporary design of gleaming glass and metal towers to the Las Vegas skyline.
For Las Vegas business travel, meetings and event planning, all technical needs are handled in-house and by MGM Events. CityCenter offers the following event facilities at each of the hotels:
- Aria Resort & Casino offers 300,000 square feet of meeting and pre-function space, including four ballrooms and 36 meeting rooms.
- Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas offers 12,000 square feet of event space, including a 7,650 square foot ballroom (divisible into three), and a 3,000 square feet of pre-function area with views of CityCenter.
- Vdara Hotel & Spa offers more than 10,000 square feet of event space, including a 3,923 square foot ballroom, three meeting rooms and an executive boardroom. Vdara specializes in smaller groups from 10 to 400 attendees.
Crystals Retail & Entertainment includes 500,000 square feet of sophisticated retail, dining and entertainment. Veer Towers is exclusively offered for private residences (condominiums are also available within the hotels). The Harmon Hotel is scheduled to open in late 2010.
CityCenter is recognized as one of the world’s largest green developments; the U.S. Green Building Council already has awarded LEED® Gold certification to ARIA’s hotel tower, convention center and theater, as well as Vdara Hotel & Spa. Crystals also has received LEED® Gold certification, making it the world’s largest retail district to receive this level of recognition. CityCenter is also poised to receive a combination of Gold and Silver LEED ratings throughout its distinctive hotels.
