I previewed the updates during an MGM-hosted reception at IMEX 2025, where leadership outlined the design vision and renovation strategy. The hospitality throughout the event was polished and professional — a strong example of MGM’s capability to host high-level business gatherings and VIP receptions.

Why this matters for business travelers.

MGM Grand is one of the most active meeting and convention hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. The main-tower redesign directly benefits business travelers and event attendees. The rooms are brighter, quieter and far more functional — particularly for guests who need a restful space between conference sessions or work commitments.

The hallways feel more serene, giving the tower a calm, retreat-like ambiance. Suite expansions also provide more flexible layouts for working, hosting colleagues or staying productive during multi-day events. Combined with MGM Grand’s meeting facilities, dining venues and entertainment offerings, the renovation strengthens its value as a reliable choice for corporate groups, incentive programs and conference attendees.

The remodel was led by Gensler in partnership with MGM Resorts Design & Development. Rooms blend playful disco-era influences with modern finishes and upgraded conveniences, including:

  • Spa-style walk-in showers

  • Illuminated storage

  • Enhanced blackout drapery

  • Smart TVs

  • Charging stations with USB, USB-C and standard outlets

These design choices brighten the rooms, streamline functionality and give the tower a more refreshed, comfortable feel.

Expanded suites offer more space to work and unwind.

With the addition of 111 new suites, MGM Grand now features 753 suites, ranging from 675 to 1,784 square feet. The layouts support work and relaxation. The suites have open seating areas, refreshed bathrooms and elevated finishes throughout.

These spaces offer privacy and flexibility for travelers who need room to meet, prepare for presentations or host informal conversations during large events.

The renovation aligns with several new experiences available at MGM Grand, including:

  • Netflix Bites, a dining venue inspired by Netflix shows

  • Palm Tree Beach Club by DJ Kygo’s Palm Tree Crew

  • The FRIENDS™ Experience, a fully interactive attraction

  • FREQNCY by the Jabbawockeez

  • A refreshed Morimoto, relaunching in late November

Together, these experiences enhance the resort’s role as a major hospitality, dining and entertainment hub on the Strip.
