Hoteliers really do not like travel reviews posted by their guests when they are not kind about the quality, service and friendliness of their staff. But business travelers and tourists do like knowing when someone else gives a strong endorsement or crticism of a particular hotel.

Say what you will about the value of traveler opinions – even if they are unqualified opinions, hotel reviews matter. And TripAdvisor published its 2010 dirtiest hotels list for the United States and other international travel destinations around the world based on 2009 opinions for cleanliness (January 22, 2010).
