If you haven’t visited there yet, Cordoba, Spain has a remarkable history of cultures that settled here during Roman, Muslim and Christian eras, including a thriving Jewish community between the 10th and 12th centuries. And much of the architecture from these eras still remains, allowing visitors to experience that past.  (To learn more, check out review, Traveling to Cordoba, Spain? What You Should Know.)

Held each year in June, this festival program also contains three other exciting announcements:

  • Otoño Sefardí en Córdoba (Sephardic Autumn in Cordoba): September 12-24, 2014. Exhibitions, workshops, historic re-enactments, guided tours, cooking classes, roundtables, presentations, concerts and cinema.
  • Mujeres en el Judaísmo (Women in Judaism): Sunday, September 14, 2014. Coinciding with the 15th annual European Day of Jewish Cultural Heritage. Cordoba, together with the 28 other cities in Spain with significant Sephardic legacy (see www.redjuderias.org ) celebrates Women in Judaism on Sunday the 14th.
