The US Green Building Council and KPMG named winners of the IMEX 2012 Green Meeting Award
The US Green Building Council (USGBC) was announced as winner of the large meeting category of the IMEX Green Meeting Awards, presented at the IMEX Gala Dinner last night. The Award recognised its Greenbuild International Conference and Expo 2011, making the USGBC a record four-time IMEX Award winner, having won previously in 2004, 2006 and 2009.
Taking the Award in the small to medium green meeting category was KPMG for its Climate Change and Sustainability Global Summit, which was held in New York City in February this year. MORE…

The Stuttgart Convention Bureau (SCB) has been presented with the Green Exhibitor Award during IMEX in Frankfurt 2012. The Award was made at last night’s IMEX Gala Dinner at Frankfurt’s Alte Oper.
The Stuttgart Convention Bureau and its eight partners offered a strong case for environmental sustainability. They fended off competition for this coveted award by demonstrating an impressive number of energy efficiency measures, including a significant reduction in the quantity of paper-based promotional collateral produced. Footprint Management Systems, MeetGreen® and QuickMobile have been awarded this year’s IMEX Commitment to the Community Award in recognition of their co-development of a mobile game called ‘Get Your Green On’ (GYGO).
