Day One at AIBTM focused on education with the AIBTM Knowledge Program — three days of presentations in a variety of formats totaling 28.5 hours of continuing education credits featuring industry leaders.

The presentations helped meeting planners and other attendees learn everything from the basics to the latest developments. The goal is to help them grow their knowledge of the event planning industry and advance their careers.

The keynote was provided by Michael Hoffman who discussed the importance of balancing motivation and tools to help people thrive with an attitude of ownership and professionalism.

A Meetings Leadership Summit was also scheduled. This was a four-hour invitation-only event that brings together industry leaders seeking to make their organizations more competitive, agile, profitable and better able to respond to constantly changing business dynamics.

The day of education was ended with the International Reception, brought to you by Turespaña. And the Welcome Party, hosted by Visit Orlando, was held at Pointe Orlando.
