South Place Hotel, between Moorgate and Liverpool Street in the City of London, is a brand new, Conran-designed hotel from restaurateurs D&D London. The 80-bedroom property boasts a rooftop, seafood restaurant that is available for exclusive hire for up to 200 guests; two other bars, a ground-floor casual grill, and five meeting and private dining rooms on the 1st floor, with capacities from as few as six to as many as 200 people.
All of the rooms benefit for floor-to-ceiling windows, so there is tons of natural light for daytime meetings (and blackout blinds if needed). Each has been meticulously designed to answer all the practical needs of Events Managers, including video conferencing, theatre-style presentations and menus that range from a working lunch to a four-course, restaurant-standard dinner. At the same time, the rooms are quirky and distinctive, from Kuryakin, the red room, to Solo, where the board table flips over to make a pool table (for when you need a bit of fun and inspiration).
Sarah Buchanan, Director of Sales at South Place Hotel, said, “The response to our Meetings and Events rooms has been phenomenal since we opened in September 2012. Clients love the fresh, quirky design, the brilliant location and the service levels of a 5-star hotel.”
