Bellagio received accolades at the 2013 World Travel Awards’ (WTA) Caribbean & The Americas Gala Ceremony on Sept. 14 in Antigua & Barbuda. The AAA Five Diamond Las Vegas resort was once again recognized as North America’s Leading Casino Resort, an honor Bellagio has received for five of the past six years.
“The World Travel Awards are determined by travel industry professionals, making this a special honor bestowed by experts in the hospitality business,” said Randy Morton, president & COO of Bellagio. “Bellagio is a special destination resort with universal appeal to guests from around the world. Thanks to our outstanding team who provide guests with extraordinary service, we have been able to achieve top awards such as this.”
WTA, hailed as the “Oscars of the travel industry” by the global media, highlights and rewards brands that have made the greatest contribution to the travel industry during the past year. A delegation of VIPs, senior tourism figures and international media travelled from more than 30 nations to attend this year’s event.
The online voting process is a year-long communications campaign encouraging global participation. The votes come from qualified executives working within travel and tourism and the consumer travel buyer. Votes are internally audited to ensure the validity of each individual vote.
