DENVER, July 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With seven professional teams, Denver is always a pro sports paradise. But sports fans will find even more to love during the summer of 2014 with major international competitions taking place in The Mile High City all summer long.
Major League Baseball from a Mile High
WHEN: All summer long
WHERE: Coors Field
Located in the heart of downtown, Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies, was already one of the best places to see a baseball game in the country, combining the nostalgic feel of classic ballparks with state-of-the-art technology. In 2014, a good thing got even better, with the addition of The Rooftop. The new deck, which opened at the start of this year's season, offers the best views in the stadium, with a long terrace overlooking the ballpark, as well as downtown Denver and the majestic, snowcapped Rocky Mountains.
The centerpiece of The Rooftop is the Tavern Ballpark. To celebrate the fact that the room is exactly 5,280 feet above sea level (one mile high!) the bar is exactly 52 feet and 80 inches long and offers 52 craft beers on tap. Roll-up glass garage doors can transform the area into open air space, where fans can enjoy all the sights and sounds of the ballpark. Hungry? The CHUBurger Restaurant offers Colorado casual dining with burgers made with beef from the Hops & Heifers Farm in nearby Longmont, Colorado.
The Fastest Sport on Two Feet!
WHEN: Through July 19
WHERE: Dick's Sporting Goods Park
The Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships brings the top men's lacrosse players from across the world to Dick's Sporting Goods Park for an action packed series of matches. The United States will defend its crown, having defeated Canada in the 2010 championship in Manchester, England. A record 38 nations will participate in this year's world championship and will play 142 games over 10 days, beginning with a rematch of the last world championship game on July 10 and building toward the world championship game on Saturday, July 19. Individual game tickets are now on sale with full event ticket packages also available, guaranteeing you a great seat to watch the game's best players play on the world's biggest stage.

The World's Greatest Golfers
