MALIBU, Calif., May 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Nikita Malibu is opening its doors to host celebrations and events that will be remembered for a lifetime.
A trip to the two-story, glass-encased restaurant is like a visit to owner Larry Ellison's home for dinner. Overlooking the Pacific, the refined restaurant epitomizes the Malibu luxe "home" and serves as the premier venue for exquisite weddings, galas, top tier business and networking events, and red carpet parties.
Nikita Malibu was selected by BMW to host luncheons in April and May for worldwide journalists who embarked on scenic excursions up and down the Pacific Coast Highway in the plug-in hybrid BMW i8. Midway through their trip, press members were invited to relax at Nikita Malibu for an enjoyable meal and then view the display cars, charging stations, and solar car port, which were featured at the restaurant over the course of ten days.
To inaugurate its special food and wine events program, Nikita Malibu partnered with Billecart Salmon to hold an exceptional evening celebrating the appreciation of luxury Champagne. Visiting from Mareuil-sur-Ay, France, sixth-generation winemaker Antoine Roland-Billecart presented the Champagne selections at the intimate dinner, honoring the Billecart Salmon family's traditions of quality and excellence.
Nikita Malibu, in association with Malibu Racquet Club, also recently hosted the First Annual Vika for the Cause benefit, founded by world champion tennis star Victoria Azarenka. In attendance at the Kick-Off VIP Reception were Serena Williams, Justin Gimelstob, Gael Monfils, and Redfoo of LMFAO. The celebratory reception included live and silent auctions that raised over $100,000 for Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Nikita Malibu also recently held Jennifer Lopez's pre-album release event, an intimate brunch for industry insiders where she previewed songs from her upcoming album.
The restaurant has recently made itself available for film and television bookings and will be featured in the BMW i8 commercial, produced by Sterntag Film GmbH and 395 North Productions and organized by Location Manager Nate Taylor. The ad showcases the height of Malibu living through scenic dining and excursions and is directed by Matthias Berndt.
Nikita Malibu will also be featured in an upcoming General Motors Encore commercial. The ad, which is set to air shortly, is produced by Seed Media Arts, owned by Malibu locals Domenic Mastrippolito and Tim Ward, and directed by Jeffrey Karoff, who helmed the Oscar-nominated documentary Cavedigger. Developed by MRM/McCann Detroit and organized by Location Manager Sharon Smith-Herring, the spot follows a couple on a romantic visit to an exquisite, ocean-side restaurant.
