About the Tourist Office of Spain in Chicago

The Tourist Office of Spain (TOS) in Chicago—one of 33 worldwide offices of TURESPAÑA, Spain’s Madrid-based government tourism promotion authority – is a non-profit responsible for promoting Spain as a tourist destination to consumers, press, and travel trade in the thirteen-state Midwest USA region (five other TOS in North American serve their respective jurisdictions: New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Toronto). The Consul for Tourism Affairs and Director of the Chicago office is Ángela Castaño Cabañas, who has held the post since September 2020.

In January 2019, TOS Chicago relocated to 333 N. Michigan Avenue, an art deco-style building with Historic Chicago Landmark designation, located on the corner of Michigan and Wacker at the beginning of the Chicago Cultural Mile. Their non-profit institution contributes to the community through its different departments: Providing travel information and expert insight on Spain to the general public; actively promoting travel to Spain by interacting with media, agents, tour operators and travel trade professionals;  and by transforming the customer experience through fresh and relevant channels.
