Teamsters: Supporters To Protest SLS Hotel's Violations Of Worker Rights

PR Newswire

(LAS VEGAS, Nev.) – On Monday, May 11, Teamsters, employees and community allies will protest SLS Casino and Hotel management's ongoing violations of its workers' right to form a union. Protesters will be there to support the valet parking attendants' ongoing struggle for fairness.

Management has committed several Unfair Labor Practices, including interrogation of workers that support the union. Management has fired three workers.

The workers are united and strong. They have submitted a petition requesting the employer to be neutral during the organizing process, but SLS management continues to create obstacles instead of working with the employees like they have for other SLS workers.

The workers have the support and backing of Culinary Union Local 226, which represents many workers at SLS.

The protest will take place outside the hotel/casino from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, May 11.
