EAST TROY, Wis., Dec. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday and Saturday, December 19 and 20, in celebration of Alpine Valley Resort's 50th birthday, the ski area will roll back its prices for lift tickets by 50 percent. Festivities will also include Euro bungee jumping (bungee jumping with a trampoline and harness), raffles, face painting and specials on cocktails and beer in the Valley View Lounge. Both evenings, between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. when slopes are closed, revelers will be treated to a fireworks display on the top of the slopes.
The ski resort, located in East Troy, offers 20 runs serviced by three high-speed quad chairlifts, three triple chairlifts, one double chairlift, four conveyor belts and one high-speed rope tow. In addition Alpine Valley features a 120-room lodge at the base of the slopes, which will be open to welcome guests for its birthday celebration weekend.
"We are proud of Alpine Valley's 50-year history and all the improvements we have made through the years," stated General Manager Bruce Firestone. He added that the rolled-back prices are the ski area's way of celebrating and hopefully introducing Alpine Valley's slopes to many new skiers and snowboarders in the area. "Alpine is the fastest way to fun," Firestone added.
