SAN DIEGO, Sept. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Aksel and Janice Chernitzky, a brother and sister team of local San Diego Entrepreneurs, launched their first Kickstarter Campaign for a huge 10' x 10' towel. Made of special microfiber material that is thin, light and highly absorbent their "Monster Towel" rolls up small and compact yet covers an area of 100 sq. ft.

The team believes the project is close to the finish line with little or no marketing. Backers have come mainly from word of mouth. The team has raised over $5,000 with just 8 days from their goal. Adding personalized embroidery to make a unique holiday gift.

The idea came about at the beach when the team remarked how uncomfortable people looked trying to fit groups onto small towels, blankets and bed sheets. When one team member began to dry her car with a microfiber cloth, she suggested the material may have a more beneficial use.  Later she stitched together several smaller cloths to form the first prototype.

Over the next few weekends, the team covered San Diego beaches and parks demonstrating their Monster Towel. La Jolla Shores beach goers volunteered to be featured in the group's second video.

The team is hoping to reach their funding goal of $8,000 to be able to run their first production turning their idea of a huge 10' x 10' towel into a reality.

Monster Towel is a great example of a simple idea that many of us have thought of that is well executed on the crowd funding website Kickstater.com. Monster Towel is one of the many unique holiday gifts that can be found on Kickstarter.com.

The team needs all the support they can get to reach their goal. For more information visit www.MonsterTowel.com or www.Kickstarter.com.
