The award program recognizes the most influential women in the public relations profession, spanning a wide-range of industries and sectors both domestic and international. Winners were selected by a blue-chip panel of PR executives, as well as by the staff of PR News. Honorees will be celebrated during a special awards luncheon on January 28, 2015 in New York City.

As Senior Vice President of Public Relations for MGM Resorts International, Michaels spearheads consumer media relations for the company’s properties including Bellagio, ARIA, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay and The Mirage, among others. Michaels is responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies in support of all of the properties’ entertainment, food and beverage, hotel and retail amenities and attractions.

Michaels has overseen major efforts including the opening of CityCenter in 2009 and the opening of Bellagio in 1998 as well as the introduction of numerous entertainment spectacles.  Michaels oversees a team of 27 Public Relations professionals.

Michaels is a graduate of the Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Las Vegas programs and has been recognized as one of Las Vegas’ 40 under 40 Businesspeople to Watch by In Business Las Vegas.  Additionally, she is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers, North America’s most prominent travel media organization.
