Account Executive – Promotional Products Sales

Employer Description:

RH Communications, Inc. (RHCI) provides marketing solutions, including publications, printing, promotions, events, travel management and more. Based in Chicago, our clients are local, national and international.

Description:

We are seeking three independent representatives with proven selling skills to local businesses throughout the Chicago area. Candidates that are based elsewhere will be considered for roles in their own markets, but selected account executives will be expected to demonstrate their ability to build their accounts independently.

As a promotional products account executive, you will help clients to expand their brand presence at a lower cost and with less hassle. You will sell “logo” merchandise and premiums – such as pens, hats, apparel, business gifts, calendars, food and other merchandise. If your client can think of an item, we can source and imprint on it.

Responsibilities:

While this is certainly a fun job, independent representatives reflect our company’s image and must demonstrate professional sales standards and service excellence. Your role is to establish relationships with your clients, understand their businesses, and provide solutions to make and close sales. We prefer candidates who have experience in the promotional products industry, either as a sales representative or as a client. You should have experience in pre-sales, quoting and order processing. You should also have experience with selling and servicing a variety of clients throughout the Chicago area. And you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be expected to meet sales goal minimums.

There is an additional opportunity to earn income through cross-sales of our event jobs board for any RHCI rep. Specifically, “resume services” has an attractive referral compensation plan.

Since 2004, RH Communications, Inc. has been providing support to promotional clients as a partner of HALO Branded Solutions. You will receive strong corporate support to help your success, including product research and inside sales support so that you may effectively service your clients. What helps make our firm unique vs. many other promotional firms is that we are a full service, boutique marketing firm. This means that the right candidates have unique growth opportunities to sell and service other marketing services and printing solutions, as well as consideration to join our online directory sales teams.

Requirements:

Part-time, flexible hours. Successful candidates will need to invest at least 15-20 hours/week during times when your clients are available. Representatives are independent contractors who work-at-home, so you should have all of the appropriate technology and resources to support that. Commission only, but your income potential is completely under your control.

Send your resume and letter explaining you’d like to join our team (don’t forget to share information about your own “marketing” skills) to: (Enable Javascript to see the email address). Or call us at 312-663-4800 (please do not call if you have not submitted a resume and letter).
