Two International Travel Adapter Sets May Fill the Need to Power Multiple Items on the Road

by Rob Hard
Wednesday April 15 2009

On a recent trip to London to learn more about business travel and corporate travel initiatives related to the London 2012 Games and London business travel – and to attend International Confex, I stayed at the InterContinental Park Lane in Mayfair (a fantastic hotel, by the way, and more on that in a few weeks).

I was impressed with how guest room desks were also equipped with a European and USA outlet (only one each, but that’s great). That’s a pretty unique feature by most hotel standards. Because I travel with a universal power adapter, I pulled out each and was able to power my laptop, my cell phone and my camera battery all at once.

Anyone who travels internationally a few times for business travel quickly recognizes the importance of traveling with at least one international travel adapter set. And hotel front desks only stock a limited number of power adapters for guest use (first come, first served…). Plus, if you accidentally forget to return it, your hotel bill is likely to be charged a much heftier fee than if you purchased your own and brought it with you.

Very portable and extremely practical, these adapters come in handy and can work in just about any travel destination or country. Event planning tip: pack extra travel adapter sets to share with your guests who forget to pack adapters for themselves.
